2019 Holt Prize

New Chambers would like to congratulate Dr Shipra Chordia on being named the recipient of the 2019 Holt Prize. Shipra’s manuscript, ‘Proportionality in Australian Constitutional Law’, was unanimously selected for the award by an esteemed judging panel consisting of Professor William Gummow AC, Justice Alan Robertson and Dr Ruth Higgins SC.

The Holt Prize, awarded by The Federation Press, was established to honour the late Christopher Holt. It is one of Australia’s most generous legal prizes, and is awarded biennially to a first-time author of a manuscript that covers an academic or practical area of the law.

Congratulations Shipra.
