New Chambers welcomes new reader

New Chambers would like to welcome its newest reader, Stephanie Gaussen. Stephanie joins us after recently completing the NSW Bar Association Bar Practice Course.

Stephanie accepts a wide range of briefs in both private and public law. Prior to coming to the bar, Stephanie worked at Sparke Helmore Lawyers in Government (Administrative) Law and at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions as a Federal Prosecutor. Stephanie gained extensive advocacy experience in both roles, where she appeared in both Federal and State courts. As a Prosecutor, Stephanie prosecuted offences referred by numerous investigating agencies including the Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Australian Taxation Office and NSW Police. In 2012, Stephanie was Tipstaff to the Honourable Justice John Hislop of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
