Admitted to the Bar 2015


Gideon was called to the bar in 2015. Gideon has a broad commercial practice with particular interests in financial services, corporations, insolvency, contracts, equity and employment. Gideon has appeared in the NSW Court of Appeal, New South Wales Supreme Court, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court, the NSW District Court, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and in administrative hearings at ASIC. In 2018 Gideon was briefed to appear in the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Gideon had 12 years’ experience as a solicitor before being called to the bar, across a range of legal environments, including a commercial law firm, an investment bank and the Office of the DPP. Over that time Gideon developed particular experience in financial services litigation, regulatory investigations and public private partnership disputes. Gideon has continued to advise and act in each of these areas since being called to the bar.
