New Chambers welcomes Winnie Liu

New Chambers would like to welcome its newest reader, Winnie Liu. Winnie joins us after recently completing the NSW Bar Association Bar Practice Course.

Winnie accepts briefs in all areas of law. Prior to coming to the Bar, she was a solicitor in the dispute resolution team at Herbert Smith Freehills acting on a range of financial regulatory matters including the Financial Services Royal Commission, corporate crime and investigations, class actions and competition disputes.

From 2018 to 2019, Winnie was Tipstaff and Associate to the Hon Justice Leeming of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.

Winnie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Juris Doctor ranking second of 152 students. She has lectured in Contracts and Criminal Law, and will commence lecturing in Equity at the University of Sydney in 2021.

Winnie is honoured to be the recipient of the 2021 Katrina Dawson Award which encourages women to practise at the NSW Bar.
