Experience
Winnie practises widely in commercial and public law.
In commercial law, her practice ranges from significant and complex commercial disputes and class actions to discrete, technically complex, first instance and appellate matters.
Winnie’s public law practice comprises judicial review proceedings, regulatory proceedings, proceeds of crime matters and commissions of inquiry.
Winnie appears regularly in intermediate appellate courts throughout Australia, as well as in the Federal Court, NSW Supreme Court, lower courts and tribunals, both led and unled.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Winnie was a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills, and served as Tipstaff and Associate to the Honourable Justice Leeming of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
Winnie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons 1) in Ancient History and Media and Communications, and a Juris Doctor. She has received a number of academic prizes and scholarships.
Winnie is the recipient of the 2021 Katrina Dawson Award which encourages women to practise at the NSW Bar.
